Dr. Robert T. Sicora, creator of Leading from the Helm, brings 30+ years of experience in business and consulting to his practice. Dr. Sicora’s background includes strategic human resources, organization development and process management in the pharmaceutical, technology, foods, marketing, hospitality, government and premiered industrial manufacturing industries. He has worked in profit, non-profit and academic environments for small, medium and large growth-orientated companies. Dr. Sicora specializes in strategy, organizational culture, trust, employee engagement, process management, leadership development and team effectiveness. Dr. Sicora has worked for firms such as Pfizer, Pillsbury, Carlson Companies, Eaton and Cargill.
He completed his Doctorate of Education (EdD) at the University of St. Thomas in the field of Organization Development. His dissertation study was on personality styles of leaders, their employees, and the impact styles have on a culture of trust within organizations. Dr. Sicora also holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Minnesota. His undergraduate degrees in Sociology and Speech Communications are from St. Cloud State University, where he is currently on the Alumni Board.
